Tara Anderson

Tara Anderson has a demonstrated track record of success in auditing and accounting, ensuring transparency and accountability in the complex public sector environment for more than 25 years. Her experience includes the Offices of the Auditor General of both Ontario and British Columbia, Internal Audit & Advisory Services in the British Columbia government, as well as the Interior Health Authority of British Columbia. She was also a Senior Audit & Assurance Manager with KPMG.
Tara is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Internal Auditor. She graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor of Accounting honours degree and obtained a professional specialization certificate in Performance Management from the University of Victoria.
She has been Toronto’s Auditor General since December 17, 2022, and a leader in the Toronto Auditor General’s office for over seven years.
Tara has dedicated her career to making a difference for people through her work in the public sector.
